A crescent moon, pulled by hand from hot glass. The lid rises in fluted rays to a solid crescent finial — the shape that opens the month — and seats deep into an optic-ribbed base, so dates, sugared almonds and Eid sweets stay fresh between iftar and suhoor and still catch the light through the wall.
Mouth-blown in our Cairo workshop, no moulds. The crescent is shaped and annealed as part of the lid, so there is nothing glued on to come loose in transit or in a customer's hands. Every crescent carries its own curve.
