Shipping Policy

Grand Bazaar Egypt For Export ships hand-blown Egyptian glass from our workshop in Maadi, Cairo, Egypt to wholesale buyers worldwide. All shipments use export-grade packaging: individual wrapping, honeycomb dividers, reinforced double-wall cartons and fragile labelling.

1. Sample Orders

  • Samples are dispatched within 2 business days of payment.
  • Shipped worldwide by DHL Express; typical transit time 3–5 business days.
  • The $169 sample box includes DHL Express shipping. $50 of that shipping is credited to your first wholesale order of 30+ pieces.

2. Bulk & Wholesale Orders

  • Production lead time: 15–25 days for made-to-order runs, counted from deposit receipt and confirmation of specifications.
  • DHL Express: rates by weight are shown at checkout for orders up to 30 kg.
  • Over 30 kg: choose “Freight quote within 24h” at checkout — no shipping is charged at checkout, and we send you the best air or sea freight quote within 24 hours for approval before dispatch.
  • Air freight: recommended for orders up to ~100 kg; typical transit 5–10 days.
  • Sea freight: from Alexandria port; typical transit 2–5 weeks depending on destination.
  • Pre-shipment photos of your actual packed order are provided before dispatch (and before the balance payment on wire-transfer orders).

3. Incoterms

  • EXW Cairo — you or your forwarder collect from our workshop.
  • FOB Alexandria — we deliver export-cleared goods to the vessel; freight and insurance from port are arranged by you.
  • DAP — available for smaller shipments; we deliver to your address and you are responsible for import duties and taxes on arrival.

4. Export Documentation

We provide the commercial invoice and packing list with every shipment. Certificate of Origin and other documents (e.g. for preferential duty under trade agreements) are available on request. You or your customs broker are responsible for import clearance in the destination country.

5. Taxes & Duties

Export prices are exclusive of destination-country VAT, import duties and clearance fees, which are payable by the buyer according to the agreed incoterm — including on sample boxes. In the United States, every shipment is currently subject to duty regardless of value. DDP quotes are available on request.

6. Transit Breakage

Any breakage in transit is covered — see our Refund & Breakage Policy for the claims procedure.
