A hand-blown bubble candlestick holder: five ribbed glass spheres, stacked from small to large on a fluted foot and crowned with a ruffled tulip cup that holds a standard taper candle. In the signature Multicolour version each bubble is blown in its own colour — violet, spring green, rose, amber and sky blue — so the lit column glows like stained glass. Prefer one tone? Prisma also comes in single-colour versions — all rose, all indigo blue, all green, mauve or honey — for tables that need to match.
Nothing here is pressed or moulded. Each sphere is mouth-blown, ribbed and joined by hand at the furnace in our Cairo workshop — where the piece is known as Tayf, Arabic for spectrum — which is why the ribs run slightly differently on every piece and no two are identical. At 25 cm it carries a table on its own, or in a run of three or five down a long one.
Who buys it: wedding and event stylists building colourful tablescapes (multicolour for garden parties, single colours to match a wedding palette), restaurants and boutique hotels, concept stores and gift shops, and Christmas, Easter and Ramadan table collections.
