Letters painted on frost — a glass coffee set written in Arabic.

Khatt, “calligraphy”, is a thirteen-piece set: a tapered ibriq (cezve) with a long twisted glass handle and a pouring lip, six handled cups and six saucers, all blown in borosilicate glass, acid-frosted and hand-painted with loose blue Arabic letterforms, then rimmed in 24K gold.

It is the Ramadan and Eid gift set for the Gulf and sells in Europe as a Turkish coffee set for the table. The glass is food-safe; hand wash to protect the gold. Ships in its own compartmented carton.

Each piece is mouth-blown and finished by hand in our Cairo workshop; small variations in shape, colour and decoration are the signature of the craft.
