Walk into any importer's office in July and you'll find them doing something that surprises outsiders: buying Christmas. By the time snow is falling, the season is already over for wholesale — the winners placed their orders in summer. Here is the timeline, worked backwards, and how to use it.

The maths of the Christmas calendar

• Retail peak: mid-November to December — your stock must be on shelves by early November.
• Distribution: allow 2–4 weeks to receive, unpack, and ship to your stockists → goods arrive at your warehouse mid-October.
• Air express to your door: 5–8 business days by DHL, FedEx or EMS → goods leave Cairo in early October.
• Production: every model is in stock in mixed colours; specific colours take 15–25 days → specific-colour orders confirmed with deposits by early September.

That is the whole secret: a November shelf is built by a late-summer purchase order. Miss the production window and you are limited to the models we hold in stock in mixed colours — or sitting the season out.

Why hand-blown ornaments specifically

Machine-made baubles are a race to the bottom on price. Hand-blown glass ornaments — gilded, engraved, no two identical — sell at boutique and museum-shop prices, wrap a story around every purchase, and are exactly the kind of product customers photograph. Egyptian workshops have blown glass for millennia; a Cairo-made ornament carries provenance that a mass-produced one cannot.

Planning a first seasonal order

1. Now: request samples of your shortlisted designs — judge the gold work and the weight in hand.
2. Within 2–3 weeks: confirm your assortment. Mixing designs within an order (allowed at our workshop across the whole Christmas 2026 line) lets you test 10+ designs in one carton.
3. By mid-August–early September: place the bulk order with deposit; approve pre-shipment photos before the balance.
4. Autumn: receive by air express at your door, distribute, and spend December counting sell-through instead of chasing stock.
