A lidded jar in every colour at once — the piece that sells itself on a shelf.
Tayf, “spectrum”, is a lidded jar with swirling bands of rose, blue, green and honey, each outlined in gold. It keeps bakhoor and oud chips beside the mabkhara, or dates and sweets on the table.
Each jar is mouth-blown and painted by hand in our Cairo workshop; small differences in colour are the signature of the craft.
